Travelling Patients

If you are a patient seeking your first appointment with Dr Finch and you live more than 2 hours away from the Sunshine Coast, it is important that you make special arrangements for your clinic appointments and for the immediate time period after your surgery.

You may be required after discharge to remain in accommodation nearby for up to 2 weeks.

This will obviously depend on the type of surgery that you have had. The reason for this is so that Dr Finch can supervisory your immediate post-operative recovery and if any problems arise he is on hand to deal with them.

You must be prepared for the extra cost and inconvenience of having your surgery away from your local area. You also need to be prepared to return for all clinically necessary post-operative reviews with Dr Finch.  Post operative patients are reviewed regularly following their discharge from hospital and this includes appointments at 2 weeks post discharge, 3 months, and six months.
